So what’s the scale threshold?

Clearly this does not matter to Luxor. I mean… as of this writing, it’s been viewed less than 250 times. It’s not going to impact their sales in any meaningful way, right? And who’s this Berkowitz guy anyway? Some loser who comes to Vegas for the WiFi?

Yea. This penny ante stuff doesn’t matter to Luxor. Screw it. They’re busy working on a print ad anyway.

I am going to Vegas soon...and no, I won't be staying at the Luxor. Thanks to you and David for showing me what it's like. And people think Tripadvisor gives you the real deal. They've got nothing on David.

Well said, and thanks for the embed (I love that it's so easily trackable on SlideShare too).

The follow-up is that it's 250 views after a few days. But now it's on my blog, and Slideshare, and your blog, and Twitter. Google 'luxor sucks' without quotes and the presentation's 1, and my blog is 4, so Google already sees this stuff has having some authority. Will it ever rank for 'Luxor'? Will some Technorati 100 blogger stumble on this after he has a bad stay there next CES and share it? Will it just come up as a word of mouth anecdote ("Some guy hated the Luxor enough that he created a whole powerpoint around it!") in ways that the Luxor won't be able to track?

There are varying possibilities of these events, but today it's not good for them, and there's the chance that it will get far, far worse.
